This morning I'm feeling that need for some kind of spiritual connection. So I made a CD with all those great songs that help me cry when I really need to. All morning I've been sobbing and it feels so good to just let it go, thinking about how everything dies and I'm bringing this new person (or old?) into the world. It is so incredible to feel like I'm right in the center of this. It seems hard to believe that I can forget and just trudge along through the morning sickness and loneliness.
Here's the songs I put on the CD:
The Healing Room, Sinéad O'Connor :Faith and Courage
Calling all angels, Jane Siberry
World Spins Madly On, The Weepies :Say I Am You
Working on a Building, Cowboy Junkies: The Trinity Session
Sometimes It Snows In April, Prince: Prince Parade
The angel in the house, Story (Jonatha Brooke, Jennifer Kimball)
All That We Let In, Indigo Girls
Soon Be To Nothing, Indigo Girls: Come On Now Social
Let It Be Me, Indigo Girls: Rites Of Passage
Iowa (Traveling III), Dar Williams: Mortal City
84,000 Different Delusions, Shawn Colvin: Shawn Colvin & John
Everyday Is a Winding Road, Sheryl Crow
I Just Don't Think I'll Ever Get Over You, Colin Hay: Garden State

I only know two of those songs! Maybe your body is cleansing itself by crying out toxins. It really does feel good to let it all out once in a while.
